How is Jamie McGonigle faring at Sligo Rovers?
Striker Jamie McGonigle joined League of Ireland Premier Division side Sligo Rovers on loan in July, with the deal set to run until January. He has made five appearances for the Bit O'Red as of August but is yet to open his scoring account. McGonigle missed Sligo's last two league fixtures against Waterford and Bohemians. His temporary club finds itself in a difficult position, sitting bottom of the League of Ireland table. However, they have reached the quarter-final of the FAI Cup, where they will face Waterford for a place in the last four.
Which young defenders have returned from loan?
Defender Alfie Gaston has returned to Coleraine's home ground after completing a loan spell at Limavady United for the entirety of the 2025/26 campaign.
